QuiteRSS is downloadable at https://quiterss.org/en and includes an installer option for nearly every desktop OS.

It is an RSS reader with an interface that resembles a very basic email client.

An example of how to use it for Twitter would be as follows:

The site https://nitter.net is a repackaged version of Twitter that removes a lot of noise from Twitter while adding various features, including an RSS feed.

Going to https://nitter.net/JimCRAMER presents the nitter version of Jim Kramer's Twitter feed. At the top right-hand side of the page is a number of small symbols, one of which resembles the various stylized versions of the RSS symbol. Clicking is usually not very useful unless the browser is configured to open QuiteRSS when a link is clicked. Otherwise, just copy the link from the icon and open QuiteRSS. Note that there are various links and files that different sites will use for their feeds, but usually will be consistent within each one. For example, the RSS feeds in nitter will also be the URL with /rss added after it. In this case, the link copied will be https://nitter.net/JimKRAMER/rss.

From QuiteRSS, next to the large, green '+' symbol click 'Folder'. Type Mainstream traders and press Enter.

Select the new folder from the menu on the left and click the large '+' symbol. In the menu, paste or type in the URL. If it is preferred to use a different title of the feed, uncheck the option immediately below the URL, and in either case select next. The following options include where to place the feed within the directory structure. Place it in the Mainstream traders directory and click Finish.

Perform the same steps with a second feed, such as https://nitter.net/MadMoneyOnCNBC/rss and place it in the same directory.

The feeds will automatically update, and selecting the Mainstream traders directory will display all of the tweets from both feeds in chronological order.

To add the timestamp of the feed item to the display, select the small drop-down arrow on the very left column, and check Received. To change the date and time format, along with other settings configurations, press F8 to bring up the Options menu and navigate to the Displays tab in the Feeds section.
